Hi, I’m Mel.
I help wellness and mission-driven teams design onboarding and education experiences that feel clear, supportive, and easy to adopt.
I’ve worked in product for over 10 years, primarily in content strategy, UX writing, and user research. I’ve also partnered closely with product, growth, and marketing teams, which means I understand the full product journey, not just one piece of it.
Across all of those roles, I kept finding myself working on the same problem. Product adoption. Especially onboarding. Helping users understand a product, trust it, and feel confident using it has become my specialty, and what I help businesses like yours achieve as your product adoption consultant.
Why product adoption
Getting a product into users’ hands is only the beginning. The real work is helping them reach value quickly, without confusion or overwhelm.
I’ve worked on onboarding flows, interactive walkthroughs, help content, and educational videos that guide users to their “aha” moments. That work has included usability testing, content design, and creating audio and video walkthroughs.
Today, I work primarily with wellness and mission-driven teams in spaces like mental health, wellbeing, and personal growth, where clarity, trust, and emotional safety matter deeply.
Grounded in psychology and neuroscience
To deepen my work in wellness and mental health products, I’m currently completing graduate-level study in the psychology and neuroscience of mental health through a certificate program at a leading research university.
This informs how I think about cognitive load, motivation, learning, and habit formation. I use those insights to design onboarding and education experiences that feel human, supportive, and grounded in how people actually learn.
I’m not interested in manipulative engagement tactics. I care about sustainable adoption that respects users and supports their goals.
