About me
I’ve worked in product for over 10 years, primarily in content strategy and UX writing and research. However, in that time, I’ve also worked on projects within Product Management, Product Marketing Management, and even some coding (please don’t ask me to code anything ðŸ¤).
In every instance, I’ve found myself consistently working in Product Adoption, and more specifically onboarding.
Projects like improving onboarding flows, creating interactive walkthroughs, and creating and recording audio and video walkthroughs (including professional voice over #voiceactor). I was even brought into a product adoption/onboarding project for a new wearable product while working as a contractor at Meta (they made finding the aha moment for your app a popular piece of the onboarding puzzle).
Delighting users and getting them to become not only long-term users, but advocates and champions of a product is my favorite part of the product cycle. Maybe it’s because in my spare time I narrate audiobooks, so I’m keenly aware of the storytelling hero’s journey (which your customers are on when they use your product). The happily ever after that so many of the stories I narrate have can also be found in your customers’ experience with your app when they get through onboarding. First, to your product, and later to the new features you’ll create to help them achieve their goals.
I’d love to help you improve your adoption rates so you can continue to create products that solve your customers biggest problems, and get them to fall in love with your solution!
A few things I work on
01
Onboarding walkthroughs
Personalized walkthroughs using Appcues or similar tools.
02
Educational videos
I’ll work with you to create walkthrough videos and can add professional voiceover.
03
UX writing
Sometimes the best way to improve adoption is to make your product easier to use. I’ll review and edit all content design within your app.
04
User research
I can conduct user research sessions with customers and prospects.
05
Usability testing
I’ll walk through the product with users to find any friction points. This can also be a great way to influence your roadmap for new features and updates.
06
Onboarding emails
Email can be a great way to get users to adopt your product. We’ll identify the aha moment, when a user becomes hooked, and I’ll create engaging content that drives them to that action.
